Shrinkage

Finding ways to entertain myself in the middle of winter has become somewhat difficult. JH4 had decided to go down to Mokpo for a trail. NN Becca and NN Ian invited us to the area to walk/run trail with them. I was just excited to get out of the house again for the weekend. Mokpo had some promise to be a good trail. I arrived a bit earlier than expected; so I helped lay the trail. I expected the weather to be cold, but cold would have been welcomed with open arms. This day had no break or relief from the howling winds and bitter snap of the cold. Whilest we lay trail a combination of light rain and snow came into town. The hares (the people who lay trail) and I decided to make the trail relatively short because of the weather.

We made the trail a simple, straightforward, and short. We started ceremonies late because of our usual mismanagement. I had hoped that we would have many people from Jeonju come with us, but to my dismay only Hammer and Highly Strung showed. The hares were able to wrangle up more then enough virgins (first time hashers) for the hash. They were not the usual pack that I am used to dealing with, but they were a welcome change. They were funny and played along very well. As per our traditions we give balloons to the virgins; to my amusement they tried to sabotage each other. That gave me a laugh because I am usually the only one trying to do so. The trail was mostly flat land with a couple medium hills. It was marked very well and the pack didn’t get lost as much as I would have liked them to have been. As I walked trail the weather turned for the worse and it began to snow. So layers were something that needed to be worn or else you would be out of luck.

The end of the trail was nice. We devirginized the pack and it went well. Song was sung and dance was well danced. The on-after took place in many venues. We went from place to place looking for places to get drunk in. It was a very cold day and trail, but the booze made us warm. The trail was over and the vessels were empty, but our spirits were high.

So if by chance you hear a whistle or yelling of on-on; join the trail.
